Change is in the Air…

Things do not change; we change. Henry David Thoreau

A change is coming my friends. I have had another opportunity thrown at me, and it’s a good one. One dream I have always had, besides music and writing, is to run a restaurant. I have a meeting today with a gentleman that is opening a restaurant in one of the nicest areas in Boise, Hyde Park in the Northend of Boise. In my lifetime I have run every facet of restaurants, from back of house to front of house. This is a great opportunity for me and I can only hope that I get it. I know that it is going to soak up every bit of my extra time, but I am ok with that. I will let you know how it goes. We went for a walk down to the river last night with Rosie and I took some more pics and thought I would share them with you.

About FFCC

Freedom From the Chemical Carousel (FFCC) is a new group forming in the Boise, Idaho area for alcoholics and by alcoholics. This not an AA group and there is no discussion of religion/prayers at any time during the group. The groups premise is based on current medical knowledge available and shared with the group to give the suffering alcoholic hope. We also don't keep milestones as we feel that the desire to quit is more important than the length of time a person has been sober because we all know that relapse is so very hard to prevent and when you have milestones held over your head it may make you feel guilty if you falter causing you to fall away from your attempt at sobriety. The only requirement is a desire to get off the sick chemical carousel. There are no fees, no expectations, nothing to buy. All the information is free and is given freely in the hope that what they have learned can help another alcoholic.

  1. awesome shots of the river in its Christmas finery. Also, love the shot of you and pet–that could/should be your Christmas card! Best of luck to you with the restaurant endeavor, and just FYI–I used to tend a mean bar..;)
